Google Android Glasses Concept Design

If the rumors are to be believed, Google is working on a top-secret project to launch a pair of reality glasses, according to various reports.

The idea is to pull in data from Google Maps and other location-based services directly to your eyeballs. (Why take the time to pull out your smartphone?) The glasses are also said to have a built-in camera.

Think of it as a real-life version of the futuristic heads-up display seen by Arnold Schwarzenegger's character in the Terminator movies.

So we got to thinking, what would Google's glasses look like in the real world?

We reached out to designer Federico Ciccarese of Ciccarese Design for the answer. He's the same guy who came up with those cool concepts for Apple's rumored TV and the next iPhone.

First some initial sketches. Here, the Google Glasses are imagined as a singular-lens device.

There's a control panel with function keys that tucks behind your ear too.

You can see the built-in camera on the right side of the lens.

A closer look at the function keys. They're the same as what you'd see on an Android phone.

This side view shows where the ear bud branches off.

The lens can display information in front of your eye, Terminator-style.

Here's a slideshow view of your Google Music albums.

Location-based services powered by Google Maps are said to be a major part of the Google Glasses.

It has an angular, futuristic look.
