Because all Uber transactions are handled digitally — without cash ever changing hands and without credit or debit card swipes — it can be difficult to keep track of how much money you actually spend.
But knowing what you are spending on your rides can be important to keep charges equal among friends, to keep your expenses covered when you're riding for work, and to manage your own personal budget.
The good news is that you can view all of your Uber receipts in a few simple ways.

How to get your Uber receipts
Uber makes it easy to access your receipts, as the app should always send a digital copy right to your email address after each ride is completed and you add a tip.
If you can't find an emailed Uber receipt, first check your junk mail folder. If it's not there, you might have inadvertently deleted it or it may not have been sent properly.
First, check the Uber app to make sure you have the correct email address entered. You can navigate to the "Settings" tab to change your email address.
To find a receipt via the Uber app, simply launch the app on your iPhone or Android phone and tap "Your Trips" from the menu. Now tap on the past trip in question, then scroll down and tap the "Receipt" tab.
There you will see all the information you need about the charges involved, including details about the payment method you used.
You can also request your Uber receipts to be re-sent to your email address at riders.uber.com/trips in the "My Trips" section.
