Harrison Reynolds and his wife Louella Bryant run a bed and breakfast out of their tiny home in Lincoln, Vermont. (They live in a regular-sized home, and the two are connected by a 70-foot ramp.) The Tiny Fern Forest Treehouse is so popular on Airbnb that it's already completely booked through next year.

Reynolds told INSIDER that it's not the hand-crafted charm or the serene forest surroudings that make the treehouse special — it's the people who come from all over to stay in it.

Harrison Reynolds and Louella Bryant live in the small town of Lincoln, Vermont, with a population of around 1,200.

Reynolds and his son built their tiny home over three summers after taking a course in treehouse design at Yestermorrow Design/Build School.

"It's nothing fancy," Reynolds said. "We built it out of all recycled stuff. We made use of everything."

Measuring 100 square feet, the treehouse sits on four maple trees 30 feet above the ground.

"We grew up in the sixties and there's a lot of Woodstock influences," he said of the design.

"We're old hippies, I guess you'd say."

The tiny home can hold three people, with one single bed on the main floor...

And a queen-size futon in a cozy, lofted corner.

Bryant, an author, writes about their various Airbnb guests on her blog, Ellie's House.

"The tree house brings us people so we don't get totally lonely," said Reynolds.

Their two grown sons live in Colorado and Washington, DC.

"For me, at least, it's restored my faith in this country and the people that are in this country and what they're doing," he said. "Just some amazing people."
